Abstract:
Biological soft tissue consists mainly of light elements, and its composition is nearly uniform with little density variation. Traditional attenuation-based x-ray imaging cannot provide sufficient contrast for this type of materials. The cross-section of x-ray phase shift is three orders of magnitude greater than that of x-ray attenuation in soft tissue over the diagnostic energy range. X-ray refractive index is sensitive to micro-structure features of soft tissue and offers superior contrast resolution for analyses of various normal and diseased conditions. In this presentation, the x-ray grating imaging, differential phase-contrast computed tomography, x-ray dark-field imaging, differential phase interior reconstruction, and cylindrical/spherical grating imaging are discussed.
Biography:
丛文相博士1982年1月毕业于黑龙江大学数学系,1988年6月在哈尔滨工业大学应用数学系获硕士学位,1998年1月在北京科技大学应用物理研究所获博士学位。1982年1月至1995年9月任黑龙江大学数学系讲师,副教授。目前在Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) 生物医学工程学院从事生物医学成像方面的研究工作。主要研究包括X射线光栅成像,X射线能谱CT以及光学分子成像,发展了X射线相位CT的傅立叶变换迭代方法和Hilbert变换迭代方法,X射线小角散射模型,X射线相位CT的内重构理论和图像重构方法,以及X射线柱/球型光栅Talbot理论。
